Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DYNAFABS (a trading name of Dean Roberts, a sole trader) collects, uses, and protects your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who We Are (Data Controller)
The data controller for this website is Dean Roberts (trading as DYNAFABS). Prime Apartments, 483 Green Lanes, London, N13 4FG. Contact: support@dynafabs.uk.
2. What Personal Data We Collect
- Identity — name, username — you provide it on registration.
- Contact — email address, phone number — you provide it during registration or checkout.
- Transaction — order details, payment reference, invoice history — generated when you place an order.
- Technical — IP address, browser type, session cookie — collected automatically when you visit.
- Quote and slice data — quote requests, uploaded 3D models, selected print settings and generated slice artefacts — you provide the model and settings; we generate the artefacts.
- Communications — emails and support messages — you provide them when contacting us.
We do not collect special category data (health, biometric, racial or ethnic origin, etc.) and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
3. How and Why We Use Your Data
- Processing your quote, slice result, order and print delivery — contract performance, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b).
- Sending order confirmations and status updates — contract performance, Article 6(1)(b).
- Processing payments via Stripe — contract performance, Article 6(1)(b).

- Preventing fraud and abuse — legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f).
- Improving the website and service — legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f).

4. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You can manage your preferences via the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Who We Share Your Data With
We share personal data only where necessary: Stripe, Inc. for payment processing; Resend for transactional email; Cloudflare R2 private object storage with EU jurisdiction for uploaded models and generated slice artefacts; DYNAFABS worker partners solely to fulfil a print order (name, delivery address, and print file only); and HMRC or law enforcement where required by law.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.
6. International Transfers
Uploaded 3D models and generated slice artefacts are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket configured with EU jurisdiction. Other service providers, including Stripe and Resend, may process data outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where an international transfer occurs, we use the safeguards required by UK GDPR Chapter V, such as an adequacy decision or contractual transfer safeguards, as applicable.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Account, order and payment-reference records — normally up to 7 years from the relevant transaction, where needed for accounting, tax, legal and operational purposes.
- Saved Slice & Price profiles — until you delete the profile or close your account. These contain only the named reusable print settings you chose to save, not the uploaded model or its slice result.
- Uploaded 3D models, generated G-code and other slice artefacts — 30 days from successful slice completion, then permanently deleted. The 30-day period is the access licence for the completed slice result; it does not affect unused DynaCredit balance.
- Session and technical logs — 30 days.
- Marketing consent records — until you withdraw consent.
Uploaded models and generated slice artefacts are deleted automatically at the end of the stated 30-day period. This does not erase the separate account, order, and payment-reference records that we need to retain for the purposes described above.
8. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure (subject to legal retention obligations), restriction, portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any right, email support@dynafabs.uk. We will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction — including encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. No internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
